Rachel Nickerson Biography

I was a highly competitive athlete in the area of synchronized swimming when I was first introduced to yoga as a part of my land training program. I swam for ten years at a National level and trained 25+ hours per week! I was always mentally and physically drained! Yoga was the first modality of exercise that actually made me feel spectacular in both my mind and body after each class. Once retired from my sport I persevered with my fervour for yoga by pursuing formal education to enhance my comprehension and capabilities. I studied Fitness and Health Promotion and at the same time completed my 500 Hr Registered Yoga Teaching certification at Balanced Life Yoga in Ajax. Both studies completely changed my life for the better, and allowed me to become a holistic trainer and yoga teacher. Yoga has helped me become a happier and healthier individual, and I want others to experience the many benefits of a yoga practice. I continued with my training in a mentorship program with the Creator of Balanced Life Yoga, Shasta Townsend, and refined my skills of assisting others in their yoga poses and flows. I taught at Balanced Life for over a year and specialized in power yoga classes, and more anatomy based classes for athletes. I am zealous about assisting others take control of and improve their health and wellness with yoga, like it has helped me. Additionally, I am a certified personal trainer and fascial mobility therapist, which truly compliments the classes I will create for you all at the Golf Club!



The Cost:

$129+hst per member (Golf, Curling, Social) for 12 classes in the Fall Session.(Billed to your account.)

Friends and Family of members are welcome to sign up as well at a cost of $159+hst per person.

1 Hour Class Monday Evenings at 7 pm
